Dr. Sharon B. Covitz Scholarship

Established in honor of Dr. Sharon B. Covitz who retired from Forsyth Tech as Vice President of Institutional Advancement & Executive Director of the Foundation. In her tenure at Forsyth Tech, Dr. Covitz helped raised money for scholarships, equipment and professional development for faculty and staff. She is currently the President of The Development Office, a company providing fundraising counsel to small and medium not-for-profit organizations. She also serves on various boards including the Board of The Women’s Fund, the Board of Leadership Winston-Salem, The Housing Authority of Winston-Salem Board, The SECU Family House Board, and the Board of The Women’s Council of Forsyth Medical Center Foundation. In addition, she is a member of the Stratford Rotary Club.

The scholarship is for students in Nonprofit Management who demonstrate financial need and academic merit.
